Welcome!
GlowCamp is a free one-day intensive exploration of light as an aesthetic material. We're sharing the ideas and technologies used to work with light, and we're inviting you to come speak about your expertise, demo your projects, ask questions, and find new people to collaborate with. Whether you're a light artist, a theatrical or architectural lighting designer, a fixture designer, a maker, or a DIYer, you're welcome and encouraged to attend.
A Great Success!
We had a small but great crowd on the 31st, with some really great sessions. To see more about the talks that were given, check the wiki for a list of talks, the video streams, and information posted by speakers. Thank you very much to everyone who came! About GlowCamp
GlowCamp is an unconference: the more you participate, the more successful it is. We're seeking early registrants to give 20-minute presentations, talks, demos, or discussions on a topic of their choosing. You can request more time if you have a highly participatory workshop in mind. On the other hand, you can also just sign up and start a session on the day of the event. There will be room for two sessions to run at the same time, as well as space for informal discussion.
Here are just a few of the topics we're interested in:- Project demos
- How-tos
- Component sourcing
- Controller programming (Arduino, DMX, and more)
- Theatrical and installation pieces
- Integrating natural and artificial light
- Low-power lighting
- Illuminated wearable art
